A Ukrainian folk song we arranged as a small gesture to the people of Ukraine and everybody living under brutal oppression.
You can pay what you like for it, with all donations from the track going to Ukrainian and Palestinian charities.
Thanks to Irina for giving us the song and helping us to record it.

lyrics
Darker and deeper,
Flows the river.
The birds they sing,
No more.

Hey, swims the duckling, on the Tysyn,
Swims, the duckling, on the Tysyn.
Oh, dear mother, don't scold me so,
Oh dear mother, don't scold me so,
Hey, Strangers for us, will now choose,
For us will strangers , now choose.
For you, will this not be, sorrow, dear mother?
For you will this not be sorrow, dear mother?
Hey, how can this not be, my son sorrow for me?
For me, how can this not be, sorrow my son?
For you, had lain, on my dear heart,
For you had lain on, my dear heart.
Hey, swims the duckling, on the Tysyn,
Swims the duckling on, the Tysyn.
The trú was a mythological trio of poet-musicians in ancient Ulster. They were revered throughout Ireland, some believing
their songs and stories came to them from the future. Others maintained that the trú were possessed by spirits during performance. As such, they were considered gatekeepers to the Otherworld.
